The Knights Templar cross as well as early medieval heraldry were sources of inspiration and the foundation for this privately owned aviation livery design. A custom crest was fashioned as the core element from which the livery was distilled and applied to a Eurocopter AS350. Initially, we were intent on introducing bold fluorescent accents to an understated military grey base for high contrast and visibility; and eventually arrived at a near tone-on-tone ghosted treatment adding to the overall mystique. The design was hand masked and fully painted in a mix of custom color.
