In 2016, Honda will break ground with the all new 4-door Ridgeline. To coincide with the relaunch of the brand and a full redesign, Honda and its performance division HPD will contest the grueling 2015 Baja 1000 in November followed by a full season in the 2016 SCORE Off-Road Series. A factory backed effort spearheaded by team owner/driver Jeff Proctor and Honda Performance Development will see the debut of the twin turbocharged Honda HR35TT V6 powered race truck, which will also feature an Albins ST6 sequential transmission, Fox Racing Shocks, Rigid LED Lights, KMC Machete Wheels and Rugged General Grabber tires.

Honda is no stranger to motorsport, recording victories in virtually every series and class worldwide from rally and sports car racing, to Moto GP and Formula 1. 2015 marks a new off-road chapter for this historied marque since the HPD Desert Pilot competed in 2012 as it will contend with veterans Toyota, Ford, Chevy, and an equally stout lineup of winning drivers for top honors.

I worked with the team and HPD to develop a signature scheme rooted in a tradition of winning, showcasing a manufacturer that has arrived. A linear based geometric pattern forms the foundation for a ‘victory’ inspired look and provides the flexibility to be adapted to future sponsor additions and livery evolutions. The identity will be applied to all vehicles, team apparel, print materials, environment graphics, signage and merchandise.

We’re eagerly anticipating the dusty four wheel drifts of this race aspirated Unlimited Ridgeline in the world’s most difficult form of endurance racing through the harshest elements.
